“ We came to Calgary on a Thursday and found out they run some special on Thursdays, deal for 2 (1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 1 dessert). This was my first time trying Peruvian food. Everything was mind blowing awesome, blew my taste buds away. 10/10 on every scale (taste, presentation, ambience, portion size, service). We are definitely coming back here to try other items on the menu. ”
“ First time at Pio when a friend suggested it, and my first time trying Peruvian food at a sit down restaurant. The restaurant was very clean, neat and tidy. It was kid-friendly, equipped with high chairs. The owner/manager served us, who was prompt, friendly and helpful. On Thursdays, they have a special: two can dine for 38. We got to choose an appetizer, 2 entrees and a dessert. Everything was sooooo good! We really liked their yellow sauce and potatoes, and the spinach feta pasta. Everything was really flavourful and uniquely different from our usual type of restaurants. The steak with the pasta was a little overcooked for our liking, but everything else was fantastic. I’m excited to go back and try their rotisserie chicken. ”

The pictures of our food did not do justice to the taste and how much food was not pictured yet included in the platter price. Highly recommend checking out their specials of the day- the Chicken Adobo is fantastic! ”
“ I visited this place for the first time on Sun afternoon for lunch. Oh man, it was so good!! They have wide range of items, the menu is big and interesting! I ordered fried chicken, I am not familiar with Peruvian food at all but chicken tasted like regular fried chicken. Breast was a bit dry, thigh was juicer. You can choose 2 sauces, I tried spicy one and cheesy one. I liked both of the sauces! It comes with 1 or 2 sides, I tried green plantain and it was delicious! Next time I’d like to try sweet plantain! I also got to try their fried fish dish. It comes with seasoned rice, beans, salad but I subbed salad for Yuka fries. Yuka fries were interesting, it was a good call! Fish was deep fried, very decent sized fish and I enjoyed it! The fish came with a lime wedge, I wish there was some sort of sauce for fish! Inka cola tasted like cream soda, next time I’d love to try purple corn drink!! Everything I tried was great and service was very friendly! They were out of a few dishes we wanted to order, she apologized and suggested other dishes we may be interested. Overall such a great experience, I’ll be back for sure!! ”
